Pay items are created so that we can assign payable hours accordingly. Once payable hours are assigned a pay item whether it be an 'earning' or 'leave', they can be exported to a preconfigured payroll format.
If you are exporting to one of the below API, please refer to their configuration guides for automatic import:
Create your Pay Item (Earning)
- Go to Settings
- Click on Pay Items
- Click Add Earning
- Edit Earning Details
- Name
- Type
- Rate (Will not be exported to Payroll)
- Rate per Unit - Used for earnings such as Ordinary
- Multiple... - Used for earnings such as Overtime
- Fixed Amount - Used for earnings such as Allowances
- Export Text (Important to match with your Payroll pay category/ID)
- Click Save
