Job Costing Validation is a solution to 'incorrect' job codes being typed into a time clock by your employees. With this enabled, it will ensure that any Department/Job code being typed in is predefined in the Time Clock itself and won't allow any other rogue inputs.
- Enter your Time Clocks Configuration Menu
- Go to Menu option 4.2 (Department Setup - Validation)
(Navigational Keys: 2 - Up; 6 - Right; 8 - Down; 4 - Left;) - Press Enter
- Press 8 to go down the list and Enable validation
(Navigational Keys: 2 - Up; 6 - Right; 8 - Down; 4 - Left;) - Press Enter
- Go to Menu option 5.2 (Job Setup - Validation)
(Navigational Keys: 2 - Up; 6 - Right; 8 - Down; 4 - Left;) - Press Enter
- Press 8 to go down the list and Enable validation
(Navigational Keys: 2 - Up; 6 - Right; 8 - Down; 4 - Left;) - Press Enter
Now you will need to send the Time Clock a list of Departments and Jobs
- Open your ClockComms Software
- Select Upload Departments
- Select Start
- Select Upload Jobs
- Select Start
