This guide should be followed in cases where servers are being decommissioned and/or ClockComms is required to be installed onto a different end medium (End device such as a Server or PC/Hosted service such as Azure etc.)
Requirements:
- Ensure ClockComms is being installed by an agent with administrative access rights. (IT personnel)
- MYOB Clients will require the use of the MYOB Version of ClockComms - Link below.
Original End Device (End device that currently has ClockComms Installed)
- Navigate to your ClockComms install directory folder (Default C:/BundyPlusv3)
- Copy the MWSClock.ini onto any USB or Network Drive.
This file contains all ClockComms configurations and can be used as a backup file for future use. - (Optional) Copy and back up the /Archive/Primary folder to your USB/Network Drive
As this has all of your raw employee clocking events
New End device (End device that doesn't have ClockComms Installed yet)
- Download and run the Install for ClockComms as an Administrator. [Standard Link | MYOB Link]
No requirement to open ClockComms when the install is completed. - Copy the MWSClock.ini file from the USB/Network Drive into your new folder (Overwriting any pre-existing file)
You have successfully transferred ClockComms.
