Rostering is the process of organising and managing employee work schedules, ensuring that shifts are efficiently assigned to meet business needs. By creating and maintaining a clear roster, businesses can ensure proper staffing levels, improve workforce productivity, and enhance overall employee satisfaction. This guide will walk you through enabling the Rostering feature.
- Go to Settings
- Click on Time and Attendance settings
- Click on the Roster tab
- Enable the feature
- Once enabled, further settings are displayed
- Show Approximate cost - This will provide an approximate cost on the roster screen based on the salary/hourly rates defined in each employee profile. (Formula: Hours assigned X Rate)
- Lock Historic Dates - Will disallow assigning shifts to dates in the past.
- Shift Settings
These settings dictate employee shift approval requirements- None - Employees are not required to approve/reject their shifts.
- Soft - Employees are not required and have the ability to approve/reject their shifts
- Hard (No approval no pay) - Employees must approve/reject shift to allow payroll to continue
- Click Save
You have now enabled rostering.
