Ad-Hoc Work rules can be used in cases where an employee works a different shift than is set as their default work rule profle. These Ad-Hoc work rules are only applied to the current reviewed pay cycle. Once the new pay cycle starts, the work rule assigned to the day will revert to the employees default work rule profile.
- Go to the reviewing timesheets screen (Guide here)
- Navigate to the work rule column
Notes:
- Image below for this employee has a default work rule profile assigning the Morning Shift
- Mon 23rd Sept has clocking events that don't match with the assigned work rule.
- Click on the Green text for Morning Shift - This will display a work rule window
- Select the dropdown box at the top
- Select the Work rule that aligns with the employees clocking events. In this case, Afternoon Shift is what we need.
- Click Save
- The timesheet will now reflect the new work rule assigned
Note: There is now an asterisk to the left of the Afternoon Shift work rule. This means the work rule was manually adjusted by a user.
You have now successfully assigned a ad-hoc work rule.
