Ascender Integration

Configuring the Ascender integration will enable you to export clocking data to a pre-existing SFTP Server. 

Note: This interface will only export raw clocking data.

Requirements:

• Host address (default: sftp.preceda.com.au)
• SFTP Login Details
  
  • Username
  • Password

Enabling the integration

1. Go to Settings
2. Click on Integrations
3. Search for Ascender
4. Click Connect
5. Check the enabled checkbox
6. Enter Connection credentials
   
   
   
7. Enter Export directory details followed by a '/'
   This directory will be where BundyPlus Live will create the employee clocking text file usually the noted 'Inbound' folder on the SFTP server. 
   
   
   
8. Select Authentication preference
   
   • Basic Authentication - This will not require PGP encryption on importing the employee.txt file.
     
   
   • PGP Authentication (Unchecked) - This will require Key generation on BundyPlus Live and sent to your SFTP Server specialist.
     • Outbound Encryption - N/A
       
     • Inbound Encryption - Will require you to generate and upload two keys into your SFTP server configured above.
       Generate your key:
     1. Click Generate Key
     2. Click Download Public Key and upload this into My Account > Public Key Authentication > Import Public Key > Choose your file > Open > Save
        
     3. Click Download PGP Key and send this to your SFTP Server specialist at Ascender.
        
     
     
     
   • Click Save and Test
     If successful, you can now create your payrun. If Unsuccessful, please review your settings above.
     
     
     

Creating your Payrun

1. Go to Settings
2. Click on Payruns
3. Click Add Payrun
4. Enter Details
5. Click Next
6. Leave the date details as this does not affect the transactions being sent
7. Change export type to Ascender
8. Select your file format
   1. Timesheet Clockings - Exports all clockings that are created with no approval intervention
   2. Timesheet Clockings (Approved) - Only exports data that has been approved by a Payroll officer
      
      
      
9. Check Do you want to schedule automatic exporting? and select an Export Frequency
   Hourly - Exports all employee transactions within the last hour, on the hour.
   Daily - Exports all employee transactions within the last day of the scheduled time.
   Manual - Exports all employee transactions only when manually triggered.
   
10. Check Do you want to schedule automatic importing? and select an Import Frequency
    
    
    
    
11. Click Next
12. Click Next
13. Check the option to enable payrun as default
    
    
14. Click Save
